WOSP - West's Out of School Program

 

Purpose:    
To provide the best possible service to care for primary age children of the local community outside normal school hours. The program aims to be as affordable as possible and at all times conducted in a friendly, safe and enjoyable environment.

Objectives:
*        To provide quality care in a well supervised environment for up to 40 children before school and up to 65 children after school hours.
*        To offer a variety of activities with the opportunity for passive recreation.
*        To provide suitable refreshments for all children.

Operation:
Before School Care  -  7.00am – 9.00am
After School Care     -  3.30pm –6.30pm
Curriculum Days      -  7.00am – 6.30pm

On early dismissal days, the service will start at the time of school dismissal.  The service does not operate on public holidays.

Facilities:
The service is run on the school premises.  The program operates under conditions which are safe and children are secure.  The areas where the program is normally conducted are the Gym and GP2 for refreshments and indoor physical activity. During daylight hours and weather permitting, in the school grounds.

In the rare event of the Gym/GP2 not being available, other safe and suitable accommodation is arranged within the school.

Enrolment:
The parents/guardians of all children who attend the program at Sunbury West Primary School must complete the Enrolment and Medical Form prior to each new school year or on enrolment in the program if this takes place later.  Booking for preps can be made from November 2007.

Present Fee Structure: Per Child
Enrolment:                     $5.50(gst incl) per family per annum
Before school care         $10.20 per session per child
After school care:           $10.20 per session per child
Curriculum Day Care*:  $30 per day

A percentage of fees are refunded to all families through Childcare Benefit.
